In this episode of Black Mirror, describes how challenges and difficulties in a relationship could ultimately build it up and make it prosper for a long time. In this universe there is a dating software that programs different dating scenarios for you to find the best possible match and turns out to be the perfect match. But the catch is that you have a specific number of hours or minutes with this person. If there isn’t that instant spark that ignites you and your partners feelings, than that match isn’t really the ideal perfect match you are looking for. The software wants you and your partner to bend or break the rules a little bit so that you can be with them longer. This is identified as the rebellion factor. People go against the rules so that they can have spend more time with their better half, ultimately resulting in the perfect and ideal match. When this happens the program instantly matches these people together so they can go on their first real date.

People tend to look over what it really means to be in love nowadays. They jump from people to people like they have no feelings and are just objects in this world. Sometimes they just don’t know the significance and the importance of the first date and how it could effect the relationship afterwards. If people don’t find that spark right away on their first date its fine, they can work towards it but what happens most of the time in our society today, if they dont find the spark right away they tend to just move on and not try. Finding the right person isn’t as easy as it seems. You have to explore and discover new people and it might take some time but eventually you will be matched up with the person that you were looking for all along. Beliefnet.com states, “There are bad stories as much as there are good stories of how people met and fell in love. Seek reputable organizations and use common sense. If finding love online freaks you out, you could always go on a blind date. You can meet with each other in a group so it is not as intimidating.”(Beliefnet.com) Keeping your eyes open and your options close can be very beneficial on the process of looking for the right “one”. One thing for certain is that it will not come to you all the time so you have to put in some effort into making yourself approachable and things will gravitate towards you eventually.
